Below is a very pertinent quote from the thousands of posts in Turkish forums highlighting the extent of this problem
"I would not have wasted, what amounts now to at least the cost of another property! my health, all the stress & not least my loss of faith in most of the people I've me along the way
I think, when a person first realizes they're in serious ****e, it's impossible to take in the enormity of the problem & most people that have invested (huh!) are hard working, honest people, used to a system that protects them against the dishonest elements in society. They are therefore, so very easy to convince that 'their little problem' can easily be sorted, they are like innocent lambs to the slaughter, trusting that they are in safe hands It's unthinkable that you just walk away from what in most cases they have worked for all their lives, they have a fighting spirit, Justice....... Will be on Your side, you just cannot imagine that it wouldn't be!!! You have a contract! you have receipts! And, of course all the leeches encourage you to take Action! ...............
This System allows, no, encourages the further fleecing of their victims, they sicken me, these people are (almost) worse than the crooks who by their greed, dishonesty & total absence of any morals or integrity created the problem in the first place Despicable filthy Vultures feeding off the corpse of a victim...... But don't they have lovely smiley faces................
Really glad to hear that you got the PP to absolve you guys personally from the liabilty of any futher fines. I hope that sometime in the not too distant future some sort of amnesty could be granted for those like yourself, who have been duped & cheated by the Majority of Turkish Property Developers"
We Hope the author of this very accurate post does no mind us quoting it but it emphases the depth of this Turkish Ripoff and the lacking of the legal representation that gives an image of this being legalised theft from first developers then legal representatives It just happened to often to be anything other than a problem needing government intervention
Either this government intervenes or the people have to call upon international aid as often Turkey does forget the EU this is a sin on United Nations Scale
Or should we Just Conclude Fraud is Endemic In Turkey?
